The Women’s Business Council Philippines, Inc. (“Women’s Business Council”) organizes AWES 2026, is the personal information controller for information collected through this portal and the AWES 2026 Event App, and is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173) and applicable laws and regulations.
By registering for AWES 2026, purchasing event passes, participating in summit activities, using the AWES 2026 Event App, or submitting information through any AWES platform, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy. Where the law requires your consent, such as for dietary and accessibility information or for invitations to future events, we will ask for it separately at registration.
The information we may collect includes your name, company or organization, job title, email address, mobile number, country of residence, registration details, payment status, dietary and accessibility requirements, business matching preferences, and other information voluntarily provided during registration or participation in AWES 2026 activities. Card and e-wallet details are processed directly by PayMongo, our payment gateway, and are not stored by the Women’s Business Council. Summit sessions and event areas are photographed and recorded.
Your information will be used solely for legitimate event-related purposes, including registration processing, payment verification, attendee management, badge generation, event communications, business matching activities, networking opportunities, event platform access, reporting, logistics coordination, attendee support, compliance with legal obligations, and other operational requirements necessary for the successful execution of AWES 2026. With your consent, we may also inform you of future Women’s Business Council and AWES events; you may opt out at any time.
To facilitate the delivery of event services, your information may be shared with registration platform providers, payment service providers, onsite registration and event technology providers, venue operators, business matching facilitators, co-organizers and government partners for accreditation and security, and other service providers directly involved in the organization and management of AWES 2026. Such parties have access only to the information necessary for their services and are bound to implement safeguards consistent with the Data Privacy Act. Some providers store data outside the Philippines, subject to the same safeguards. We may disclose personal information where required by law or lawful order. We do not sell personal information.
Participants who choose to participate in Business Matching, networking activities, the ASEAN Trade Expo, or other attendee engagement activities understand that selected profile information may be made available to other registered participants, including exhibitors who scan your badge with your permission, for the purpose of facilitating introductions, meeting requests, networking opportunities, and business connections.
Photographs and recordings taken during AWES 2026 may be used in Women’s Business Council publications, websites, and official channels. Participants who prefer not to be identifiable may inform the registration desk.
The Women’s Business Council implements reasonable organizational, technical, and physical security measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, misuse, alteration, loss, or destruction. While every reasonable effort is made to safeguard information, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Any personal data breach will be reported to affected participants and the National Privacy Commission as required by law.
Personal information will be retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, maintain event records, and support legitimate organizational requirements. Information that is no longer required will be securely deleted, anonymized, or archived in accordance with applicable laws and internal policies.
Under the Data Privacy Act, you have the right to be informed, to access, correct, object to, and request erasure or blocking of your personal information, to obtain a copy in electronic form, to claim damages for unlawful processing, and to file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph). Requests may be submitted to our Data Protection Officer using the contact details below, subject to legal and operational requirements.
The Women’s Business Council reserves the right to amend or update this Privacy Policy as necessary. Any material changes will be posted through official AWES communication channels and shall become effective upon publication.
