Chit, Boots and I are attending the Oxfam-AWEN Consultative Meeting in Bangkok. Pacita Juan (Chit) and Maria Aurora Geotina (Boots) are the previous AWEN co-chairs, while I serve as focal point for the Philippines as representative of the Philippine Women Entrepreneurs Network (Philwen). Looking forward to the meeting with the AWEN ladies from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam, and with Oxfam on how to promote women’s economic empowerment in ASEAN, and the potentials of MSME development as an enabler of women’s economic empowerment.
