WomenBizPH Empowers Women Leaders Through High-Impact Media Interview Workshop

The Women’s Business Council Philippines (WomenBizPH) successfully conducted an enriching session under its Learning Enhancement & Advancement Program (LEAP) with a highly engaging workshop entitled “How to Give an Interview People Will Never Forget.” The learning session was designed to strengthen the communication and media engagement skills of WomenBizPH members, equipping them to become more confident and compelling advocates for their businesses, organizations, and social causes.

The workshop was led by Salve Ibanez, Anchor of ANC’s Business Outlook and a multi-awarded broadcast journalist, who shared practical techniques gained from decades of interviewing business leaders, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and changemakers. Through an interactive and insightful presentation, she demonstrated how an effective interview goes beyond simply answering questions—it is about creating meaningful connections with audiences and leaving a lasting impression.

Among the valuable lessons shared during the workshop were the importance of developing a memorable signature line that clearly communicates one’s personal brand and advocacy, crafting impactful soundbites that resonate with audiences, and learning how to condense complex thoughts into concise, powerful messages. Participants also learned strategies for staying authentic, confident, and focused while handling media interviews.

WomenBizPH President Rosemarie Bosch-Ong opened the program with her welcome remarks, emphasizing the importance of effective communication as a critical leadership skill for women entrepreneurs and C suite Executives.

One of the highlights of the workshop was the mock interview sessions, where participants had the opportunity to apply the techniques they had learned in simulated media interviews. Salve Ibanez provided personalized coaching and constructive feedback, helping participants refine their messaging, improve their delivery, and build greater confidence in front of the camera and audience.

The workshop provided an excellent venue for networking and peer learning among WomenBizPH members while enjoying refreshments generously provided by the organization.
