WomenbizPH Holds Induction of Officers and General Membership Gathering at Centro de Turismo

 

The Women’s Business Council Philippines (WomenbizPH) successfully held its Induction of Officers and Directors and General Membership Gathering on March 25, 2026, at the historic Centro de Turismo. The event brought together the country’s leading women business leaders, partners, and stakeholders in a celebration of leadership, collaboration, and forward-looking initiatives for women’s economic empowerment.

Prior to the main ceremony, WomenbizPH convened a Press Briefing for the ASEAN Women Economic Summit (AWES) Philippines 2026 with its valued media partners. The briefing highlighted the significance of the Philippines hosting AWES 2026 and underscored the organization’s commitment to advancing women’s leadership, entrepreneurship, and regional cooperation across ASEAN.

A key highlight of the gathering was the formal induction and handover of leadership, marking a new chapter for WomenbizPH. The ceremony honored the conferment of leadership to Chairperson Rhoda Castro-Caliwara and President Rosemarie Bosch-Ong, together with the newly inducted Officers and Board of Trustees as follows : Vice -President Cynthia Mamon , Board Secretary Atty. Lorna Kapunan , Treasurer Ida Tiongson , Auditor Sarah Mateo , Trustee Rosemarie Rafael, Trustee Mylene Abiva and Trustee Evelyn Singson .The occasion symbolized continuity, strengthened governance, and renewed commitment to the organization’s mission of empowering women in commerce and industry.

The event was further elevated by a video message of support from First Lady Marie Louise “Liza” Araneta-Marcos, a strong advocate of WomenbizPH. In her message, she reaffirmed her support for women-led initiatives and recognized the organization’s role in shaping inclusive economic growth. The First Lady also graciously authorized the use of Centro de Turismo as the host venue, underscoring her commitment to supporting platforms that empower Filipino women.

Another message of solidarity came from Joey Concepcion, Chairman of the ASEAN Business Advisory Council (Philippines). His message emphasized the importance of strong public-private partnerships and the vital role of women entrepreneurs in driving regional economic progress. Chairperson Ermelita Valdeavilla , Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) gave her Message of Support . USEC Blesila Lantayona , Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) was Keynote Speaker . WomenbizPH inducted new Members .

In line with its regional agenda, WomenbizPH presented its ASEAN Flagship Events for 2026, including the highly anticipated ASEAN Women Economic Summit (AWES) Philippines 2026, ASEAN Amazing Weaves and Waves Distinction Awards and the ASEAN Trade Expo. These initiatives aim to foster deeper collaboration among ASEAN member states, promote women-led enterprises, and create opportunities for innovation, trade, and inclusive growth.

As WomenbizPH moves ahead under its new leadership, the organization remains steadfast in its mission—to inspire, empower, and elevate Filipino women in business while contributing to a more inclusive and resilient ASEAN economy.
