WomenbizPH sign MOU to support NQI Act at National Quality Infrastructure (NQI) Conference 2025

WomenBizPH Trustee and Treasurer Ida Tiongson and Atty. Dulce Punzalan represented WOMENBIZPH at the NQI Conference2025.

WomenbizPH Treasurer Ida Tiongson signed an MOU for WomenbizPH to join the multisectoral call for the passage of the Philippine National Quality Infrastructure (NQI) Development Act recognizing its crucial role in strengthening export competitiveness, consumer protection and global market access for Filipino MSMEs particularly women entrepreneurs.

Atty. Dulce was the Rapporteur on STANDARDIZATION (as the First Filipina Convenor of an ISO Technical Working Group, concurrent Vice Chairwoman of DTI BPS TC 76, Global Technical Expertise Awardee2025 and Working Group3 Convenor .

WomenbizPH member Director Celia Elumba and the UNIDO, DTI NQI Team and Partner Institutions were organizing committee .

Held 29 October 2025, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI Philippines), with support from the Tatak Pinoy Strategy Office and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) through the Global Quality Standards Programme – Special Measure Project funded by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO), hosted the inaugural National Quality Infrastructure (NQI) Conference. – Courtesy of Atty. This high-level forum brought together leaders and technical experts from the public and private sectors to advance the country’s capacity in standards, metrology, conformity assessment, and quality policy.
